You know, I know we are talking about art here, however every time I read this line, the 2nd law of thermodynamics pops into my mind, that the universe tends towards disorder and dispersion.
Then, would the evolution of art lead towards a dispersed audience and a dispersed creative endeavor, with best selling authors catering to the needs to touch this artist fiber (creation, witnessing creation) we all seem to crave while maybe others will explore this creative processes in more abstract ways, not easily accessible for most.
I feel the artist leads the audience towards the art which lives on itself in its own world. But like any form of travel, not every one is willing to go on the most extreme voyages and some will want to take long trips to say they been in distant lands only to never leave the comfort of their resorts while others will do their best to look for the delicacies of the land.
I will not lie, I often look for a Macdonald’s at some point when I’m abroad. And with art, I often looked for what comforts me and is close to my heart.
Sorry, Vaishali. Not exactly the comment I wanted to make.
