Kind of not.
But I agree with you in how vulnerable we are to wants and desires placed by others. Sometimes I think those desires are like garments we want to wear to be someone else.
And then these desires, these garments, these symbols that are supposed to define us, trap us.
But then, as much as I dislike it, I cannot but think, how to blame the ones who transform themselves on brands?
All those desires they been fed. Didn’t I at some point wanted to be one of them. Maybe I didn’t want the glam, but send me to travel the world and take cute pictures of mountains. Even when I’m not a mountaineer.
Yes, who in his/her own mind wants to toil 9 to 5 whenever we been told the sky is the limit, that we can consume until our identity is consumption, until our identity consume us. And we forget that we are alone.
