The first time I went to Hawaii I booked this very cheap flight to Tokyo with a layover in Honolulu. Fortunately for me, it was daytime and the landing was one of my favorites ever, partly because I was a little bit nervous about being over water for I don’t remember how many hours after having watched Tom Hank’s Cast Away!

Even when I had to stay in the airport for my connecting flight, I loved every minute of it. It was an open building and the sweet warm air permeated everything while I was able to watch the jets in the tarmac. I hope I can one day return to Honolulu.
