That was in Masaya, Nicaragua. It is where my wife is from and we were over there for Christmas. The volcano is active but it doesn't erupt, which is weird because people live super close to it (not right there but maybe a mile or two away?) In the positive side the land is super fertile and lots of good food grow in it!
