Yes, sometimes I wonder if our obsession with being observed, being seen, either as children doing something funny, or artists trying to get noticed, is about a certain fear of being forgotten, unseen, gone. Maybe a ghost is a person still trying to get our attention, get noticed, remembered (not that I believe in ghosts. Although, perhaps. They should make TikTok for ghosts!)
