So the question is, what do we do now?
I mean, writing is good, but we are preaching to the choir.
Or not.
Because I shop.
But do we accept this is the world we live in and we call it a day, or what do we do next?
Ok, not to consume excessively.
Don’t go to stores to shop to fill the existential void.
Look for other ways to fill the existential void.
Ok, art. Talk to one another, which is art. Listen. Hear even when it’s not what we want to hear. Which is the contrary to what the marketing gurus want. They want us to believe that all we need to hear is what we want to hear.
But what if we live on the landing path of the airplane? Do we move or we pray the airport will relocate. What to do when what we have to hear is the screaming and crying of a world that is so alone that all they can do is shop, shop, shop?
We give them our hands?
We wait patiently for a miracle to arrive?
Some of my patients will shop like it is a drug. Some will not give it up.
How do we move on from here?
