Now I remember the first time I walk into the emergency room where a guy I used to know worked at the time. And the light was so bright that I immediately felt like in a chicken coop where they kept lights on all the time so the hens would keep on laying eggs.
I feel the same in ICUs. It’s very difficult to determine if it’s night or day. No wonder people get delirious there and good luck restoring their sled cycles after they are transferred.
But yes, I remember walking in that ED and thinking “they are working these poor people like chickens.”
Anyway.
