Last night I was watching the crime show 48 Hours. In this particular episode a black detective was ordered to not to continue the investigation of a White single mom and instead to cross check fingerprints of Black males as murder suspects. In short, the murder lived as a free man for over 20 years until a different forensic detective did some DNA analysis (from material the Black detective collected but was never analyzed) and they caught the murderer (a White football coach who gave a ride to the single mom’s son).

If people would realize that prejudice and racism not only hurts the people who are being segregated but hurts them as well.
