I’m thinking of the berries left to wither. Their scent, their perfume, and I think, “them too should have been consumed.”

Maybe then, we would have known they were used. They would have nourished a body.

And then I think, even if the fruit is left to wither, even if the body dries, will the seed then persevere, and find its way back to the ground?

From where it will sprout once more. And nourish hundreds more. And if the seed grows in a tree, it will provide shelter and a some rest, for the wanderer who walks, and is searching for a home.

Like Zay said. Less is more. And here you are taking me farther than what I thought.
