I wonder if there is a point in which what is hurting us is trying to fix so many wrongs.

I feel many of us have this savior complex. And we want things to be fixed now. In our lifetime.

And I wonder two things. One, if things get fixed, ever get fixed, how many times will they get fixed beyond the grasp of our interventions.

I’m thinking about cycling, and remember when back in the day they would kind of push cyclists up the mountain?

(I know now it’s not allowed and some cyclists said they didn’t like that because it de-stabilized them.)

But my point is that usually is one hand at the time against somebody’s back. No one pushes an outcome by themselves from the bottom to the summit.

I forgot what my second point was going to be.

Maybe something in line with we will continue to be changed by whatever is that mold us. And as clay we will return to our essence before acquiring a new shape.

And maybe in the end we’ll overcome our selfishness. But to let go. To realize all we can do is to give someone a little push in the back and propel them forward. Remove some rocks from the tarmac before the athlete appears. And remember once we were or we wanted to be athletes ourselves.

(I know, I think I ended up talking more to the perpetrators who in selfishness we make our children and families suffer, not so much to the poor judge).
