I was looking at one of those Mars pictures and I think I got a feeling similar tot he one you are talking about, the sense of scale.

If we would be larger beings, would we appreciate the surface of planets, lets say, if our arms would be the size of constellations, and distant stars would belong to us and we would look into planets as we stare at bacteria under microscopes never truly appreciating their world.
