I think this is a plight many in the world share. In Western countries, of course, we suffer in comfort, but how often there are many who are a month away from eviction.

This is not to try to reduce the value of the suffering of the poor in Third World countries. We can say in many cases that in industrialized societies the shackles are self imposed: we needed a car but got a luxury car, we needed clothing for warmth but we buy it so the designer would speak through us.

But it seems we all are toiling along unable to get out of the carousel we are riding.

Sometimes I think, well, just leave all behind and hope. Of course, easier to say in template climates. Easier to say when you are not pregnant and are a man.

I wish I could dream whatever dream we need to dream to shake the shackles from around our feet.
