I think it’s difficult not to be spiritual when in verse (I would like to say as in any artistic expression). For a time I did my best to stay clear of religious connotations, but sometimes they pop up by themselves and there’s not much I can do… I think I tend to reject religion due to its association with authority, and well… I guess I don’t like much the idea of authority.

Then the problem shows up when you are either faced with an absent god or one that gives you libre albedrio. Then such individual needs to form its own moral code and one that doesn’t mold to his or her capricious wants and rather a knowledge of what his or her needs are, and how to navigate existence around other human (may I call them spiritual?) beings…

The problem with all this babbling is that then it sucks when I don’t conform to the beauty of my words!

Thank you for stopping by and the conversation, Trisha.
