I hear you Sam. Of course I won’t say that a part of me is like you said, “not all men do this”. However I won’t deny the fact that being a woman can be sketchy in more ways than not. I could go on in being a minority has its cons as well, but I don’t want to hijack your story. Also, in true honesty, I had locked or ensure the car was locked when at a red light in certain neighborhoods, or in situations in which there are people who looked intoxicated begging for money.

In short, as a guy, I must respect your fear and discomfort when around strange men, or when feeling vulnerable in your vehicle. And also I must congratulate you for the bravery that you are demonstrating here by sharing your story, knowing that more than one guy will get his feelings hurt and respond with unkind words.
