I don’t remember who tagged you on a prompt. I think it was Sally, and you said you are not a poem. I will disagree. Especially those first lines, I was seriously thinking you were responding to the prompt, whatever the prompt was.

Maybe not identifying ourselves as writers is because we don’t make money as writers (I mean, we pay our mortgage with our writing kind of deal) and we are so used to get our identities from the activities that give us our sustenance?
