How true this is of many of us parents.

How many "obligations" we want to tend to. And we don't believe when they tell us, they will grow up. And we forget that one day they will not asks us to go out to the park.

You know, Anthi, I think they stop asking them to play with them the moment we stop asking them to play and instead to work, to take life seriously.

I used to take my kids in this crazy long bike rides. I mean, 10 km is a lot for a 5 year old. I guess I wanted them to be Tour de France champions. But I think especially for my daughter they eventually stop being fun.

Granted is that Albuquerque is not the most bicycle friendly place in the world. And there are so many ice cream stores where we can stop to "re-hydrate" (yes, with ice cream. But I think at some point I took it too seriously.

I don't know why I'm saying all this! I think it's off topic now!
