Hi Fred,

I hope you find some fulfillment in life soon.

Yes, these days bring up in me an unusual kind of pessimism. Even when I am not usually a very cheerful person. Although I do find enjoyment when I go outside, I ride my bike or I write the occasional poem.

The reason why Jessica's story made me upset is that it showcases our blindness, or at least our shortsightedness. Now that we are sick we order everyone to stay home. I've seen children in Nicaragua with diarrhea secondary to lack of drinkable water, and I did not see the Western World pack Airbus A380s with plumbing to bring water to the masses.

We know we've been deforesting Forests in the name of buying new designs from Ikea.

My point is, this is like me trying to tell my wife the waitress is not attractive. Yes, she is.

And unfortunately, we can drive as many Teslas as we want, that will not save the environment.

My apologies if I upset you. If anything, it is probably time (at least for me) for going out and enjoy the mountains I have. And try not to go crazy buying 5 different bicycles, because well... I like bicycles!

I hope you have a good day.

Pablo
