First the stupid comment: the way you write this, it sounds like we are in jail and you are teelling us they keep on extending our sentence!
Now the one that wants to be insightful but it is not: I've been trying to imagine a better reality and it is hard. I think that the biggest problem has been that I got into this paradigm in which I work under the assumption the present is always now, therefore there is no future, because we are always in this now. Which may be true (I need to get my hands into some logic textbook). The interesting thing with this idea is that if that is the case, if let's see I want a future with a community garden, I need to actively move in that direction. not that the garden will appear out of thin air, but I need to proactively move in that way, at least to make a hole in the ground and plant some seeds and water them. An active future requires deliberate action.
