Dear friend, I don't want to come as patronizing because I have my own set of vices, the kind that poison the mind and the soul instead of the body. But one thing I can say, and it is what I tell the patients I care for: You don't want to be alive when your liver is dead.

You have a heart I wish I'd have. Not to mention your skill with words, but behind them, there is the heart.

But you-we- may be getting to that age in which our bodies may start to get tired of forgiving our excesses.

With affection,

Pablo
