A few weeks ago we had a patient who attempted to do that. I mean, he actually set himself on fire but I guess someone got him to the hospital. So yep, I don’t know about this tendency of people trying to set themselves on fire. Well, hopefully not a tendency.

I’m reading this series of books by a science fiction author, Octavia Butler, and on her books there are these addicts to a fictional drug who set people on fire and then sometimes they set themselves on fire.

I think it was Zay who said we are dissociating as a society. Maybe it is a sort of internalization of our world literally catching fire.

Dissociating from our bodies. Separated from one another. Isolated.
